Bay Area Artisan Staging is Matt and Erica — a husband-and-wife creative team with deep roots in art, design, craftsmanship, and the Bay Area community.
Before launching their staging company, they spent a decade building Rare Bird, a beloved Oakland boutique, studio, and gallery known for its thoughtfully curated spaces, handcrafted goods, furniture and rotating exhibitions featuring Bay Area artists.
That same mindful approach now shapes every home they stage.
Matt, an Oakland native, brings more than 25 years of experience remodeling homes, woodworking, and building custom furniture.
Erica is an artist and jewelry designer with a background in visual merchandising and an intuitive understanding of how composition, texture, light, and color shape the feeling of a space.
Together, they blend custom-built pieces, thoughtfully sourced furnishings, vintage finds, and original works from Bay Area artists to create spaces that feel elevated, inviting, and authentic.
